An urban griot moved to the mountains for meditation and insight. Origins in working with youth in the DC area teaching the elements of hip hop and community investment in after-school and summer enrichment programs. Developing as an artist, MC and DJ releasing vinyl projects with the Amphbns, Defined Print, and his own solo effort under the self-owned SpreadLove Edutainment label.

After a move to the mountains of Vermont to put his business degree, Personal Training certification, and snowboard teaching credentials to work he developed into a high level snowboard coach and teacher trainer.

Blending his passion for hip hop and coaching Jamal continues to teach the elements of hip hop and health through his art and a variety of workshops.
